The Missouri State University A Cappella group, Sound Bearrier, wanted a fan t-shirt design that was retro in style and explained the play on words that their group name represented. This cartoon illustration of a biplane breaking the sound barrier with a bear in the group’s name became the perfect amount of ‘quirky’ to express Sound Bearrier’s name.
