Earlier in the year, HLK pitched to Envu Global in order to win their business and become an agency that works on a global scale. I was responsible for the website design to be pitched and reviewed. A month later, we found out that we won the business! Although this website would be difficult to actually create and publish, I think it shows the range of design and the depths that we could go as an agency to make them stand out.
Envu was founded in 2022 as a company built on a half century of environmental science experience for the sole purpose of advancing healthy environments for everyone, everywhere. They offer services in: Professional Pest Management, Forestry, Ornamentals, Golf, Industrial Vegetation Management, Lawn & Landscape, Mosquito Management, and Range & Pasture. Across each of their lines of business, they are partnering with customers to ensure that nature and society can thrive together.
When you and your best friend create the ultimate idea for a podcast, you make it happen. Full branding for Shits & Gigs Podcast: the place to hear from two women trying to make it in the ad and freelancing industry while tackling adulthood together.

At HLK, I work on Envu PPM or Professional Pest Management. We had a new revolutionary technology that was going to be released into the market that needed a social media post. TruDetx is a cassette-like test that can determine, by swabbing a mattress, if there is any chance for a bed bug infestation. This would help consumers be able to prevent large breakouts of bed bugs. I story-boarded this animation in order to share with users how great this product is.
Centene has a big need for organic social content that is informative to clients and points them in the right direction to take care of their health and wellness through clinics or on their own. The trick is, the target audience is very diverse and each location in the United States needs to be connected with in a different way. These social posts show examples of how we could use free source photography and simple animations to help the public with their health.
Centene is a publicly traded managed care company based in St. Louis Missouri, which is an intermediary for government-sponsored and privately insured healthcare programs.
On occasion, I take on freelance clients. This project has been by far one of my favorites to work on. Eddie owns Xurros, a Spanish donut-inspired churro company based in Springfield, MO. They had been operating for the last three years on their original logo, which has become pretty outdated. Eddie came to me looking for a complete rebrand and eventually brick-and-mortar branding support. We have only just started this process but you can view the old logo and website aesthetic, along with the new categories of logos I created for Eddie to choose from. We are currently deciding which route to go with.
Envu, a global environmental science company, needed a mass email template kit, so I created it. This included creating hundreds of modules that could be interchanged throughout each business segment yet be perceived as streamlined and cohesive. Created using Sketch.

Amazon’s Audible came to HLK asking for a solution to their problem: trying to get customers interested in their original non-exclusive content that, although not new to the market, was still high quality. We created a campaign that got viewers to get excited about this content through an interactive theme design.

One of our newest clients at HLK is &Partners, a financial advising group that consists of seasoned professionals in their field. HLK branded the new company and now needed to create its launch website. I worked with our UX team and copywriting partner to create a modern yet effective website complete with original photos we captured of the real team.
I was one of two main designers on a new business pitch for HSHS hospital systems. HSHS had a data breach and found themselves in a sticky situation of needing to win back the trust of its customers. Our agency designed to go tackle this challenge by creating a campagin focused on creating a personalized experience for each patient. We believed that feeling like their healthcare providers knew them on a personal level would inherently lead to a stronger level of trust.
After a gruesome creative sprint process, my creative solution won out on top and was presented to the client. The HSHS campaign made history at my agency being the first pitch to be voted best of three pitches by all 10 judges. Not only this, but we won the business the same day we presented!
The campaign was titled, Connected Care with this tesimonial:
For us, care doesn’t start with a diagnosis. Care starts with a conversation. Communication not only with our patients, but within our walls.
By offering a more personalized, localized and deeper connection, we don’t solely focus on one piece of the puzzle. We put them together to see the entire picture — and more importantly, the whole patient.
Because getting well really starts with being well known.
It’s what we do to make the entire experience feel better. At HSHS, connecting with our patients on a personal level is what connects us all.
At Lakewood Country Club, I was appointed head of the first annual Jay Copeland Memorial Golf Tournament which honored Lakewood Oaks Country Club’s late general manager, Jay Copeland. Because this man played a major part in Lee’s Summit, Missouri’s growth, this event meant a lot to the community. With only three months to plan, I led the brainstorming, branding, marketing strategy, and communications of the event til the very last hour. We surpassed our goal and raised $25,000 and had an extraordinary turnout.
Kirkland & Ellis is one of the largest law firms in the world. In early 2020, I reached the final interview stages to be on the in-house design team. Before my third interview, I redesigned their 2020 recruitment packet for the upcoming year to be as extraordinary and profound as their company’s mission and history. Although I was not hired, my designs inspired the actual 2021 packet redesign, upon further research.
During my time as a Director of Education of the AIGA KC Board, I was in charge of branding and running our 2022 Portfolio review. This is what we came up with for the overall art direction, it was inspired by many recognizable landmarks in the area, such as the Scout statue, and also how we are ‘scouting’ for new talent.
The Argyle is a fine dining restaurant exclusive to the members of the Lakewood Property Owners Association and/or Lakewood Oaks Country Club. They underwent a massive rebranding project that I spearheaded along with the General Manager. The old menu was confusing and left the restaurant looking rundown. We hope the new menu brings an air of class and provides organization the club will appreciate.
After meeting with Shelby Wayne CMT, one of my freelancing clients, we decided that it was time for a rebrand due to her recent career pivot from general massage to a prenatal massage focus. Shelby wanted her brand to be seen as professional yet friendly and target families but still be inviting to her current clients.
Our solution was a logo with three integral parts: a mother holding a baby, a lotus flower, and a heart in the middle for warmth and a welcoming essence.
